REGISTRATION OF THE FACIAL IMAGE AND DIGITAL IMPRESSIONS FOR THE ISSUING OF THE ELECTRONIC PASSPORT
When submitting the application, the digital impressions and the facial image of the applicant shall be registered.
The fingerprints are taken in the form of a flat impression of the index finger on both hands.
In case the quality of the digital impressions is inadequate and / or the index fingers show wounds, the flat, good quality, fingerprint of the applicant's middle, ring or large fingers is taken, as appropriate.
In case the quality of the fingerprints is improper or the fingerprinting is temporarily impossible, the applicant can be issued a temporary passport, according to the law.
When taking the facial image, the applicant must not have their head covered, eyes closed, and the expression of their face must be a neutral one.
By exception, the facial image can be taken with the covered head, for religious reasons, provided that the face of the holder, from the base of the chin to the forehead, is clearly visible and without shadows of light.
